HELIOS® Drop arm awnings

A drop arm awning is a flexible sun shading solution which has not changed in its basic functions for more than a century. 

Our products are custom made for the architectural style of every individual building. The metals which we use are authentically wet-lacquered, not powder coated. This way we gain an authentic “bygone” surface and lose the sterile new age coating. We use traditional visible springs, bolts and rivets as were used in the past.

Weatherproof and easy to clean coloured and striped materials, offer pleasant shade. Hand sewn pelmets and elaborate metal lambrequins complete the authentic historical overall picture.

HELIOS® Awnings or Marquee

Awnings are the ancestors of the modern day folding arm awnings. Their fascinating mechanics, even in the 19^th century allowed them a large overhang.

Because of their sturdy construction these awnings have been used mainly in the private sector an in countless shops in the shopping streets of the cities across Europe far into the 20 century.

We have optimised these historical awnings with modern technology and are now in the position to offer a stylish and authentic shading system from days gone by with the technical comforts of today

HELIOS® Wooden roller shutters

The former wooden roller shutters were already a variable type of sun protection at that time. On the one side the blocking, as we know it today. On the other hand, thanks to its opening mechanism, it is an ideal shade dispenser, which creates a fascinating play of light an shadow through the gaps between the wooden slats and also offers a nice view of the outside world.

Our wooden slats are specially impregnated and dried to offer a high dimensional stability. The slads that we use are manufactured according to original historical profiles of the epoch and are guided in authentic, original-dimensioned metal rails.

HELIOS® Blinds / Conservatory blinds

Creating a well-air-conditioned environment for delicate plants is the purpose of a conservatory and a winter garden. Both look back on centuries of tradition. In order to be able to achieve the required climate, an effective shading is essential.
